Text for lettering is entered in the Letters text box. This text will remain until you enter new text or close mySewnet™ Embroidery.
Note: If Check Spelling While Typing is selected, unrecognized words are underlined in red. See Spelling Checker. If Correct Spelling Automatically is selected, suggested replacements are shown for unrecognized words.
Enter text in the Letters text box.
To start a new line of text, or break an existing line in two, use Option–Return (hold the Option key, then press Return). Use the arrow keys to move around the lines of text.
Note: Some Lettering Shapes (Circle Clockwise, Circle Counter-Clockwise, Fit to Straight Line and Fit to Wavy Line) can only use one line of text. Additional lines of text are combined with the first line for those Lettering Shapes. Full Circle only uses two lines of text. Any additional lines of text are combined with the second line.
To change the text for lettering that has already been placed, select the lettering then Control–click within the lettering and the Letter Properties dialog appears. Letter Properties is not available after lettering has been fixed as embroidery. See Changing Letter Properties.
In an uppercase (UC) font any lowercase letters entered appear as uppercase, and in a lowercase (LC) font uppercase letters appear as lowercase.
If you enter special characters that are not available in a font, they do not appear on the work area when you apply the lettering.
