Create four layers of stitches following the selected line automatically, by clicking on it. Quadruple Trace produces a layer of running and a layer of triple stitches. The trace begins and ends at the place where you clicked.
Note: For complex outlines, a group of running and triple stitch lines is created to make up the trace.
In the Quick Create toolbar, choose Quadruple Trace in the Trace pop-up menu.
Choose Create > Trace > Quadruple Trace.
Select the Quick Create toolbar.
Set the stitch length for your stitch lines, from 0.3 to 12mm. See Select a Stitch Type.
In the Trace pop-up menu, choose Quadruple Trace .
Click the line you wish to trace.
Adjust the Color Tolerance to preview the desired line, then click OK to confirm.
Note: The Color Tolerance dialog will only appear if Color Tolerance is enabled. See Color Tolerance.
Repeat to place as many traced lines as desired.
Control–click and choose Finish Quadruple Trace Tool to deselect.
To edit one of the traced lines, Control–click it and choose Properties to open the Area Properties dialog. See Area Properties.
To alter the length of all the stitches, click a single object in the Group for the traced design, then Control–click and choose Select Similar from Group. Control–click the object again, and select Properties to choose settings for all objects of that type, e.g. Running Stitch, in the design.
Alternatively, to edit several lines, select some objects with Command–click or Shift–click, then Control–click and choose Properties to open the Area Properties dialog. To edit all visible lines of that type, Control–click and choose Global Properties.
