Point Emboss Line

Use Point Emboss Line Freehand_Point_Emboss_icon03707.jpg to place points to emboss a line on a fill area, satin area, or satin column.

Select Point Emboss Line

Using Point Emboss Line
  1. Select the Point Create Precise_Create_toolbar_icon03711.jpg toolbar.

  2. Select a fill area, satin area, or satin column.

  3. Click the Point Emboss Line Freehand_Point_Emboss_icon03713.jpg button.

  4. Click to place your first point. The point appears automatically as a small hollow circle.

  5. Note: To follow a background picture, click 2D View Mode 2D_View_icon03715.jpg to view the picture, and zoom in as necessary.

  6. Click to place a second point.

  7. Continue placing points along the desired path. A curved line is drawn.

  8. To create a corner or straight section, hold down the Shift key when placing a point.

  9. Note: You can move points after the line has been created.

  10. Double-click or press Return to finish the line. The emboss line appears on the selected fill or other area.

  11. Repeat to place as many embossed lines as desired.

  12. Control–click and choose Finish Point Emboss Line Tool to deselect, or simply select another Create tool.

  13. To change the embossed line, move its points in the work area. Hold down Command to add points, or Option to delete points. Alternatively, use Insert Points Insert_Point_icon03717.jpg or Delete Points Delete_Point_icon03719.jpg in the Control Panel.

Note: Use Delete Emboss Line Delete_Emboss_Line_icon03721.jpg to remove an embossed line. See Delete Emboss Line.
