Use Show Grid 
to turn the background grid on and off. The grid may be used to help align stitch objects and control points.
The grid size is initially set to 10mm. Adjust its Size between 1 and 50mm, depending on what setting is most suitable for your screen resolution and designs. Type in a figure and press ENTER (or use the up and down arrows to change the number). Turn the background grid on or off using Show Grid.
The grid size is measured in pixels of the background picture, so the apparent grid size will vary according to the dimensions of the picture stored in a design.
