Use Point Satin Area to place points to define the edge of an area filled with satin stitch. Satin areas are best suited to shapes without branches.
Note: Satin areas are best suited to shapes without branches. If there are branches that double-back on the main part of a satin area, the satin area may not give the desired result.
In the Satin Area section of the Point Create toolbar, click Point Satin Area .
Choose Create > Create Satin Area > Point Satin Area.
Press ^A
If desired, load a background picture.
In the Satin Area section of the Point Create toolbar, click the Options pop-up menu, choose Satin Area, and then select the settings for the satin area. Click OK.
In the Point Create toolbar, select Point Satin Area .
Click to place the first point for the edge of the desired area.
Continue placing points around the desired area, such as a chosen section of the background picture.
If you are following the picture, place a point every time the direction of the picture outline changes. A curved line is drawn.
To create a corner or straight edge, hold down the Shift key when placing a point.
To change the position of an existing point, move the pointer over it until the point becomes the cross pointer , then drag the point.
Double-click or press Return to complete the area.
Continue to place as many satin areas as desired.
Control–click and select Finish Point Satin Area Tool to deselect, or simply select another Create tool.
