Creating and Using Satin Areas

Use the Satin Area tools to create satin areas for your embroidery design.

Satin areas contain zigzag stitches that fill the area from one end to the other at the same density. The stitch angle changes with the shape of the area, and can be adjusted as desired. You can use automatic edge walk and/or zigzag underlay.

Note: Satin areas are best suited to shapes without branches.

Set stitch options before creating, or after satin areas have been created you can use Area Properties to change the density, pattern and underlay, or switch to another stitch type.

In the work area, adjust stitch angle lines and start and end points for individual satin areas, or change all visible or selected satin areas with Properties or Global Properties.
