Use Running Stitch to draw stitches at regular intervals using a preset stitch length. Click the Options button to set the desired stitch length in the Running Stitch properties dialog box. Set Running Stitch length from 0.3 to 12mm in 0.1mm steps.
Running Stitch is not affected by the Free Motion Stitch Speed. Also, the speed that you move the pen (or mouse) has no effect.
Draw stitches on the work area by using the pen on a graphics tablet (or with click-and-drag with the mouse). Stitches are only added while the pen is in contact with the tablet (or while the mouse button is held down).
Each new stitch point is added when the distance reaches the preset stitch length from the last stitch point. This may, for example, cut off corners if you are using a long preset stitch length and you are following an outline with features smaller than the preset stitch length.
Add as many sections of running stitch as desired. A Trim
is automatically inserted at the end of each section. Right-click to deselect the function, or simply select another tool.
