Create Cross Stitch and Embroidery Files for a Photo Design

  1. Use the design you created in Create a Cross Stitch from a Photograph.

  2. Alternatively, use New New_icon00498.jpg or Open Open_icon00500.jpg to load Documents\mySewnet\Samples\Cross Stitch\Krz\Linnet.krz.

  3. Use Life View Life_View_icon00502.jpg to view the design at the size it will be stitched.

  4. In the Home tab, click Design Properties. In the Design Properties dialog box ensure Thread Count, Crosses is set to Single (2 Threads). Click OK.

  5. Cllck Edit Notes Edit_Notes_icon00504.jpg and in the Notes dialog box type 'Family Photo'. Click OK.

  6. In the Quick Access toolbar, click Save As Save_As_icon00506.jpg and the Save As dialog box appears.

  7. In the Save In box, browse to the folder Documents\mySewnet\My Designs. In the File Name box, leave the name as 'Linnet', as set by the picture name. Click Save.

  8. This will save your design as a cross stitch design (.krz) file.

  9. In the Quick Access toolbar, click Export Export_icon00508.jpg and the Export dialog box appears.

  10. In the File Format drop-down list, ensure .vp4 is selected.

  11. Click OK. The Save As dialog box appears to save the embroidery.

  12. In the Save In box, browse to the folder Documents\mySewnet\My Designs. In the File Name box, ensure the name is 'LinnetExported', then click Export.
