Use the delete points pointer to remove points from the currently selected object outline, or a stitch angle line for a satin area.
Points may be deleted from all line and area types, including emboss and MultiWave lines, except Single Stitch.
You may not delete all the points for an object. To remove all the points for an object, use Delete Object.
A fill or satin area must have at least three points.
Satin border, motif lines and running, double and triple stitch lines must have at least two points.
A column must have a least four points (the start and end pairs).
A satin area must also have at least one angle line.
In the Control Panel, click Delete Point , then click to delete points.
Choose Edit > Points > Delete Points, then click to delete points.
Use Option–click (⌥) to delete a point at the selected position.
Press ^⌘E
Click the Control Panel button
on the toolbar.
Click the desired object to show the points that make it up.
Click Delete Points
to enable point deletion. Alternatively, when in Edit Points mode, use Option–click.
Move the pointer over one of the points on the object outline. The pointer changes to the delete point pointer
.
Note: The delete points pointer is only available for objects that can have points deleted.
Click the place on the object outline where you want to delete the point. The points that you delete are removed and the object will change shape accordingly.
To remove an angle line for a satin area, click the hexagonal control point at either end of the line.
Change back to Edit Points mode to drag the points for the object to alter its shape.
