With Freehand Select , drag to draw an irregular outline around the desired area. Only objects that are completely enclosed by the selection line are selected.
In the toolbar, click Freehand Select .
Choose Edit > Freehand Select.
In the toolbar, click the Freehand Select button
. The Freehand Select pointer is displayed.
Drag to draw a line around the required objects, and lift the pen or release the mouse button to close the area. The objects inside the line are selected, as indicated by a rectangle with handles.
Note: The line is closed automatically by a straight line between your start point and the point. If the start and end points are not close enough, you may leave out some objects by accident.
To make a new selection, draw a new line around the required objects.
Note: Use Command–click to add or remove an area to your selection.
Control–click and select Finish Freehand Select to cancel the Freehand Select tool.
Note: Use Add to Selection with any select function to increase the area of selected objects, or use Remove From Selection
to make the currently selected area smaller.
