Box Select

With Box Select Box_Sel_icon_cp00107.jpg, drag to draw a rectangle around the area you want to select. Only objects that are completely enclosed by the selection line are selected.

Select an Area with Box Select
  1. In the toolbar, click Box Select Box_Sel_icon_cp00111.jpg.

  2. Drag to draw a rectangle around the area you want to select.

  3. Lift the pen or release the mouse when the required objects are enclosed. They become the current selection, as indicated by a rectangle with handles.

  4. If you want to make a new selection, draw a new box around the required objects.

  5. Note: Use Command–click to add or remove an area to your selection.

  6. Control–click and select Finish Box Select to cancel the Box Select tool.

Note: Use Add to Selection Add_To_Selection_icon00113.jpg with any select function to increase the area of selected objects, or use Remove From Selection

to make the currently selected area smaller.
