mySewnet Cross Stitcher Terms and Conventions
The pointer is most commonly shown as an arrow on the screen.
If it is positioned over a text box, such as the Letters box on the Letter tab, it changes to an I-bar and you can type.
If Zoom To Rectangle is chosen, the zoom in pointer
appears. When zoomed in, if the Pan feature is used to move around the screen, the Pan pointer
appears.
The Box Select , Freehand Select
, or Point Select
pointer appears when the associated Select function is chosen.
The horizontal double-headed arrow
pointer appears when the mouse pointer is over the Flip Horizontal handle
. The vertical double-headed arrow
pointer appears when the mouse pointer is over the Flip Vertical handle
. When the pointer is over a selection, the four arrow pointer appears , showing that the selection can be moved.
When the drawing functions on the Create tab are chosen, the pointer appears as follows:

The drawing pointers are red when set to Erase.
When Pick Color is used to choose a color in the Design Area, or used to choose additional colors on the Thread Colors page of the Cross Stitch Design Wizard, the Pick Color pointer appears.
The measure pointer appears when Get Length is chosen.
The cross-hair pointer
appears when using Place Center
in the Multiply tab.
