Erase

Use Erase Eraser_icon.jpg to erase stitches of the selected type. It can then be used to erase stitches when a stitch drawing function is selected.

When a cross type is selected, it will erase crosses according to the size of the selected cross type. To erase Standard Backstitch

, the corresponding draw function must be selected. Erase also works with Cross Flood Fill

to erase an area of connected crosses of the same color.

Shortcut

Erase Stitches in a Design

  1. Open the Create tab.

  2. Select the stitch type that you want to erase, for example Full Cross, Mini Cross, Standard Backstitch or French Knot.

  3. Erase will remove stitches of the same type. Use any type of cross to remove any other type of cross, and use backstitch to remove backstitch.

  4. Click Erase

    . The drawing pointer turns red.

  5. The red color indicates that Erase is enabled.

  6. Draw on the work area to erase stitches of the selected type.

  7. Click Erase

    again to deselect stitch removal.

  8. Alternatively, right-click and drag to remove stitches. The red pointer color indicates when Erase is enabled.
