Backup My Settings

Use Backup My Settings to save the following:

• My Thread databases, including custom threads

• My Thread Ranges list

• My Motifs

• My Fills

You may wish to do this, for example, when you are moving to a new computer.

Backing Up Your Settings

1. Click Backup My Settings  and a Save dialog appears.

2. In the dialog the default name for the backup file is 'mySewnet1_MySettings.zip'. If desired, change the name. For example, include the backup date in the name.

3. Click Save to save the backup file in the default /mySewnet/System Backup folder. Alternatively, browse to a different folder to save the backup file.

A message will appear when the backup has completed successfully.

4. If desired, create a copy of the backup on media such as a USB memory stick or Cloud storage.

Backing Up Fonts and Backgrounds

Note: Do not copy system fonts or backgrounds provided with your mySewnet™ Embroidery Software as this may affect the update process.

To backup fonts created with the QuickFont Assistant in mySewnet™ Embroidery, copy them from the My Fonts folder.

Backup Your My Fonts Folder

1. Open Finder.

2. In the Go menu, hold down the Option key and choose Library.

3. Choose /[User]/Library/ApplicationSupport/mySewnet/Embroidery1/Fonts

4. Copy the My Fonts folder to backup media such as a USB memory stick or Cloud storage.

Backup your Backgrounds

• To backup backgrounds created with the Background Assistant in mySewnet™ Embroidery, copy them from the subfolders of /mySewnet/Backgrounds/. The main folders for backgrounds you create should be

• Backgrounds/QuiltBlocks/My QuiltBlocks
