Double Layer Appliqué

Use this to create double layers of appliqué fabric using a smaller inner appliqué shape over a large outer appliqué shape. Draw the inner appliqué shape first. This can be created with any of the appliqué options to give different effects. Then create the outer appliqué shape, usually as External Border with appliqué. When stitching out, the larger piece of appliqué fabric is stitched down first and trimmed, and then the inner piece is placed over it.
