"I can't drag and drop embroideries from the Open dialog box."

To drag and drop embroideries onto the Work Area, in Windows®  10 and 8, click File Explorer on the Status Bar. In Windows®  7, right-click Start, then Explore to start Windows® Explorer. Then follow the instructions under Drag and Drop. See Load Embroideries with Drag and Drop.

"I need to line up the picture and embroidery for a .vp3 format project."

When a project is saved as a .vp4 embroidery, the background picture is included in the project file.

When a picture was loaded for creating a .vp3 embroidery, the Hoop Size, Orientation and Picture Height were stored in the Settings information for the embroidery. The Picture Height applied to the size of the picture after it had been cropped and/or rotated. Therefore, if the picture was cropped and/or rotated when the project was started, it should have been saved after finishing the Load Design Wizard so that it could be reloaded when you wished to complete the project.

If a cropped and/or rotated picture was not saved, you may need to experiment to achieve a similar result.

To correctly line up a partially completed .vp3 project, the same Hoop Size, Orientation and Picture Height must be used again. The best way to keep this information was to print a worksheet for the partially completed embroidery. Refer to the worksheet if this was done.

When you reload the picture and.vp3  embroidery in the Load Design Wizard, refer to the Notes on your printed worksheet to ensure you use the same Hoop Size, Orientation and Picture Height, or use the Settings information.
