The Border window is used to add borders and appliqué to a design.
Draw a border line or shape.

Draw a line of any shape to create a border. |

Place points to define a line of any shape to create a border. |

Draw the border shape selected in the list of preset shapes. |

Select the desired pre-set border shape. To draw a shape that is not in the list, use a Freehand or Point Border. |

Draw a border around the selected stitches automatically. Set the margin between the stitches and border. |
Select a stitch type for the border line.

Create a line of satin stitches of constant width. |

Create a line of motif stitches. |
|
|
Create a line of running stitches (small consecutive stitches). |
|
|
Create a line of triple stitch (small three-part stitches, each composed of one stitch going forward, one going backward then one going forward). |

Open the options dialog for the line. |

Add appliqué stitches and fabric to your border. |
|

Audition a new fabric for your border appliqué. |

Open the Appliqué Selection dialog. |

Keep only the stitches inside the shape that has been drawn and add a border around the stitches. |

Keep only the stitches outside the shape that has been drawn and add a border inside the stitches. |

Add a border on top of the embroidery. |
