Photos for Color PhotoStitch

A wide range of picture types are suitable for creating a Color PhotoStitch embroidery. The primary factor, however, is to use pictures where the face is well defined, especially the eyes, and the color is good.

Note: An imperfect photo can still make a very good PhotoStitch using Autolevel and Remove Background, or individual color options in a picture editor such as mySewnet™ Draw & Paint.

A plain, well contrasted background will be easy to remove, for example a picture taken against a blue sky, or a brightly painted wall. If the picture was taken against a patterned background, the background color may blend in with the person’s hair. This type of background may take a little longer to remove.
