Start mySewnet™ Sketch or click New
. The Design Options page appears.
Click the desired option. Choose from:
• Load Picture for a New Embroidery
• Load Sketch Embroidery
• Start a New Embroidery with No Picture
Notice that when you choose an option, the choice is illustrated by the picture.
Different pages of the wizard are used by each option, but when creating a new embroidery, you must set the Hoop Size first. Click Next and the Hoop Size page will appear.
If you selected Load Sketch Embroidery the Load Embroidery page will appear.
The First Thread Color option is only available if you selected Start a New Embroidery with No Picture on the Design Options page.
Click Change Hoop to choose a different hoop in the Hoop Selection dialog box. Select the desired Hoop Size and Orientation or use Enter Size to set a specific hoop size. Click OK and the selected hoop will be previewed. If you are loading a picture, the hoop size sets the maximum size for the picture.
Once the wizard has closed, embroideries of any size may be loaded directly onto the work area.
If you chose to Start a New Embroidery with No Picture, click the thread color icon
and choose the desired thread color from the Color Selection dialog box. This will be the first thread color for drawing stitches. There are no more wizard pages when you choose this option, so click Finish and the wizard will close.
If you chose Load Picture for a New Embroidery, click Next. The wizard shows the Choose Picture page, followed by the associated picture adjustment pages.
The Choose Picture page only appears if you chose Load Picture for a New Embroidery.

Select the Alignment Stitch Style.
If you select Place Crosses on Picture (recommended when the corners of the picture are empty), move the pointer over the picture and the pointer will be a cross
where you may place alignment stitches. Click the points on the picture where you want to add alignment stitches. A blue cross is added to the preview at each point you click.
There is a 5mm boundary inside the edge of the hoop where you may not place cross alignment stitches. This is so the alignment stitches are only placed entirely within the hoop.
Click Reset to remove all the cross alignment stitches and start again.
If you select Automatic Corners (recommended when the picture fills the rectangular area), crosses are placed on the corners of the picture to show the selection.
Crosses are shown on the corners of the picture in the preview area so that it is easy to see where the alignment stitches will be added. The actual alignment stitches will only be added as corners.
If you select None, no alignment stitches will be added.
Some machines have special positioning features which do not require alignment stitches.
Click Finish to load the picture into the work area.
