Use the Color box and Color palette to choose the colors for painting.
The Color palette provides 40 commonly used colors. Click on a color in the palette to place it in the Design Panel.
The Colors area in the Design Panel displays the currently selected color.

Change a Color in the Colors Area

Click the drop-down menu for colors, then click on a color from the Color palette to select it.

To choose a color that is not in the Color palette, click More Colors in the palette to bring up the Colors dialog box. (After a color is chosen, it will be placed as the color.)

To select a color from the picture on the screen use Pick Color
in the Paint panel.
