Use Delete to delete a selection after it has been selected using one of the selection tools.
Note: This function differs from Cut because it does not place the stitches on the Clipboard. Therefore stitches that have been Deleted cannot be pasted into another design (although Undo can be used if the wrong stitches are deleted).
To delete a selected block
Select the block of stitches, then:

Click Actions
on the toolbar and choose Delete.

Control–click the selected block and choose Delete.

Choose Edit > Delete.

On full-size keyboards, press Delete ⌦.

On Mac portable keyboards, press Function–Delete or Function–Backspace (fn ⌫ ).
